Missions in Decatur
Location: Decatur-area communities
Date: March 11 – April 15, 2012
Cost: Free
Purpose: TBC will participate in multiple outreach opportunities throughout our community as a part of the “GO” phase of our vision. We will challenge the church to participate in one-on-one, small group, family and church-wide outreach projects. This will be our main outreach / mission focus for Spring 2012.
SUMMER 2012
Missions to Illinois (Missions Spectacular)
Location: Select cities across IL.
Date: Saturday, June 9th, 2012
Cost: $25.00
Purpose: TBC will be partnering with other SBC churches throughout our state to offer service projects and community outreach events to select cities throughout IL. Since this is only a one-day event, Missions Spectacular is a great opportunity for families or those with limited vacation time to participate in missions.
Mission to North America
Location: Lebanon, OH
Date: June 17-23, 2012
Cost: $100.00 (approx)
Purpose: A team from TBC to aid a new church plant in Lebanon, OH (close to Cincinnati). Week’s activities would include conducting an athletic camp (basketball or baseball), backyard Bible clubs, community car wash, and door-to-door evangelism.
Missions Internationally
Location: Guatemala
Date: July 7-14, 2012
Cost: $1000.00 (approx)
Purpose: A large team from TBC to work with a local children’s home and orphan care, offer a medical and dental clinic, build a home for a family, and provide basic evangelism outreach in local community.
FALL 2012
Mission to North America
Location: Kentucky
Date: TBD
Cost: $215.00
Purpose: A team from TBC to help Christ’s Outreach for the Blind in facility maintenance. The president of COB, Mike Gates, will be sharing more about this ministry on Sunday night, February 12, 6:00pm at TBC.
Mission Internationally
Location: Juarez, Mexico
Date: An extended weekend in October
Cost: $500-700
Purpose: A team from TBC to work with Casas Por Cristo in El Paso, TX in building a home in Juarez, Mexico. Any skill level is accepted.
